We don't accept online bookings as we like to email or chat with our guests before we take a booking.

If you make an enquiry online, please check your email junk folder for our reply as we find Wildwood emails sometimes end up there. If you can include a contact phone number in your message, we can contact you to discuss our dates and availability.

RATES: The cabins range from $230 to $295 per night for two people + additional charge for children. We operate a minimum two-night stay and three nights in high season.

We are very privileged at Wildwood to be surrounded by pristine rainforest, deserted beaches and be just a few kms from the Great Barrier Reef.  There is a great deal to see and experience and a selection of my favourite Daintree rainforest tours are below.  Just click on the links to find out more and you can book your adventures at the bottom of the page.  Feel free to email me with any questions

Ocean Safari snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef

Ocean Safari has a great speedboat which leaves from Myall Beach in Cape Trib every day. It takes about 25 minutes to head out to the deserted Mackay Reef on the Great Barrier Reef, a spot which isn't shared with other tour boats. As an avid diver I'm always very impressed with the quality of marine life here and you regularly swim with turtles, small reef sharks and a wide range of reef fish.  You get the chance to snorkel on two different reefs, each with quite different marine species.  The guides and skipper are very knowledgeable and helpful, also great with kids who may be wary of going in the water.

It’s best to go on a flat day as otherwise the ride can be a bit wild.  Trips are half day tours and they run two boats a day in peak season. I recommend booking a week or so in advance, and longer during the peak season of June to August and during the school holidays.  Note Ocean Safari does not operate in February.

Horse riding on Cape Tribulation beach

Horse riding is a wonderful and relaxing way to see both the Daintree rainforest and beautiful Myall beach next in Cape Tribulation. Trips run three times a day and are suitable for beginners, intermediate and advanced riders, as well as children. Experienced riders can gallop along the beach.

Cooper Creek Wilderness rainforest walks

Pru and Neil run incredible guided walks in the oldest part of the Daintree rainforest – some of it 1700 years old.  I saw the forest in a completely different light and was blown away by how much they knew about the land, where they’ve lived for 25 years. They can answer many of the questions you may have about the flora and fauna and many academics go and study this part of the forest because of its biodiversity.  Note, we recommend a day time rather than night walk so you can see the Daintree rainforest and fan palm gallery in all its glory.  You can book here.
